Our Story

Here goes….

My brother, Greg Duff, was a professional circle boat racer that was involved in a crash that ultimately took his life in August of 2018. On August 5th, during the Long Beach Sprint Nationals at Marine Stadium in California, another boat went airborne and came down on top of my brother while both boats were traveling over 100 mph. Despite the traumatic brain injuries and the immediate grim outcome, he still had a heartbeat. God still had a plan for Greg. God still had a plan for us. God always has a plan for each of us.

After keeping him alive on life support for 10 days due to the complications of organ donation, we were able to be granted the chance to move forward with the process of donating all his organs. We fought especially hard for his kidney to go directly to our cousin, Daniel Price, on dialysis. We were losing Greg...but he had so much to give and that was our silver lining. My brother was taken off of life support on August 15th, 2018. We said yes to everything that could be donated. He helped so many people…he changed so many lives. My cousin has one of Greg’s kidneys and is doing great! I am an advocate for organ donation and we travel back to California every year to participate in the One Legacy 5k Donate Life Event.

This accident was my family’s worst nightmare. There is no recovering. There’s just a new normal. Unfortunately, my Dad, Rick Duff, was unable to find his way here on this Earth after the accident; he lost his battle with mental illness and he committed suicide on March 29th, 2020, the day before my brother’s birthday.

While still working a regular 9-5 job, I started out going to a few circle boat races a year with a hot green ezup and two tables that held only my brother’s memorial merchandise. We eventually added another memorial shirt that also includes my Dad’s name. We have memorial stickers, hats and shirts and we still travel around keeping their memories alive and supporting the #640 racing team💚

Eventually, I started taking my brother’s shirt images and putting them on cups. At the first race I took them to, they were a huge hit! I knew I was onto something so I started baking all kinds of high resolution artwork and pictures onto the cups! If you have met in my booth then you’ve heard me say it…“I clearly went off the deep end!” 😜

I no longer punch a clock for someone that doesn’t care about me. I’m now a small business owner and I’m in charge of my life. I spend everyday with my family building my business and keeping my brother and my dad’s memories alive. I have branched out from strictly boat racing events to doing any type of event! I love what I do and I hope my story inspires hope and peace!✌️💖

We don’t have to just survive! We can thrive! 🌹
